Three Phases, One Personalized Path
Every Giostar patient goes through three distinct phases of care, each phase tailored to their specific needs. Most patients receive three separate treatments, each two weeks apart. During the treatment timeline, patients can either stay in Cancun for all six weeks or visit twice for two weeks at a time.
Pre-Treatment Preparation
Establish baselines, develop personalized strategy and optimize the immune system.
Giostar Dendritic Cell Treatment (IDCT)
A first-in-class immunotherapy that trains your immune system to fight your cancer.
Post-Treatment Support
Scans, follow ups and boosters if determined beneficial.

Before Arrival
Medical Records Review
Our team reviews your complete medical history and current diagnosis to confirm baseline eligibility.
Intro Consultation Call
We schedule a call to learn about your diagnosis, answer questions, and share additional information for you to review with your family and physician.
Eligibility Confirmation
After the call, our Medical Team performs a complimentary evaluation including a questionnaire and review of your records.
Week 1–2
Lab Work & Baselines
Comprehensive lab work is performed to establish your immune baseline and overall health status before treatment begins.
Tumor Biopsy & White Blood Cell Collection
A sample of your tumor and white blood cells are collected to begin the personalized cell processing phase.
Immune System Optimization
Our team designs a personalized protocol to prime and optimize your immune system ahead of treatment.
Cell Processing in the Lab
Your cancer cells are broken down into mRNA and cancer antigens. No intact cancer cells remain after this process.
Week 3–4
First IDCT Administration
Your Double-Loaded Dendritic Cells are administered, initiating a powerful and targeted immune response against your cancer.
Response Monitoring
Our team closely monitors your immune response and overall health throughout the treatment window.
Second IDCT Administration
Two weeks after the first treatment, a second round of Dendritic Cell therapy is administered to reinforce the immune response.
Mid-Treatment Evaluation
A comprehensive evaluation is performed to assess progress and adapt the protocol if needed.
Week 5–6
Third IDCT Administration
The final scheduled treatment further amplifies your immune system's ability to seek and destroy cancer cells.
Immune Response Assessment
Lab work is repeated to measure changes in immune activity and Interferon Gamma concentration levels.
Treatment Completion Review
A final review is conducted with your care team to outline next steps and the post-treatment support plan.
Post-Treatment
Imaging & Scans
Follow-up imaging is scheduled at intervals determined by your care team to measure tumor response.
Follow-Up Appointments
Regular check-ins with our Medical Team ensure your immune system continues to respond and your health is progressing.
Booster Evaluation
If deemed beneficial, additional booster treatments may be recommended to extend immunological memory.

Undergo Medical Evaluation
After confirming your eligibility, our Medical Team will perform a complimentary medical evaluation. This includes a questionnaire and review of your medical records. Once complete, you can be approved for treatment and we can build a personalized treatment program for you.
